Stafford Horse Trials

The final running of Stafford Horse Trials took place in June 2023.

blue-chipWe are delighted to welcome back the Blue Chip Central North West BE80T Challenge with the chance to win a years sponsorship from Blue Chip Feeds Ltd.

Clare Blaskey, founder of Blue Chip Feeds, reported that “ Blue Chip is thrilled to support the Blue Chip BE80T Challenge once again. As a company we have always promoted the grassroots rider and those that aspire to greater things. Blue Chip is very proud to be part of this initiative”.

The Central North West area with its rolling countryside is a perfect eventing haven. At all the qualifying events listed below, competitors placed 1st to 4th in any of the BE80T sections will qualify for the Challenge Final which will be held at Weston Park Horse Trials on the 6th October 2018. Should a combination have already qualified then the qualification will pass down the line to no further than 8th place. This will open up more opportunities for as many combinations as possible.

Kelsall Hill (1) 20th – 22nd April
Llanymynech (1) 12th – 13th May
Somerford Park (1) 19th – 20th May
Berriewood 9th - 10th June
Stafford (2) 13th – 15th July
Solihull (2) 18th - 19th August
Llanymynech (2) 25th – 26th August

Weston Park with its 1000 acre estate provides the perfect setting for the final. The cross country course will take full advantage of the impressive estate which has become respected for its imposing and beautifully built fences, making this a true championship challenge. The Challenge Final will be an educational day with full support from BE accredited coaches for the dressage phase and dedicated course walks for the Showjumping and Cross Country. The Cross Country Course will be bold and encouraging, dressed to a championship level.

The Dressage test, Showjumping and Cross Country will run under the rules for BE80T competitions. Both horse and rider must be eligible to compete in BE80T classes on the date of the Challenge Final. The combination must NOT have qualified for the 2018 Mitsubishi Motors Cup 90 and 100 Championship.

The winner will receive one year’s product sponsorship, a professional picture from prize giving, a Blue Chip logo jacket, saddle cloth and rug. The winner will be required to work with Blue Chip, providing regular updates on what they and their horse are up to. Further fabulous prizes will go down to 8th place.
